Solar Photovoltaic Power Parks

Bulgarian territory is very sunny and is an attractive place for development of Solar PV Parks. The agricultural land now is not expensive. But the main attraction is the Preferential conditions for stimulating photovoltaic development in Bulgaria include but not limited to special government guaranteed sell prices of power generating by PV (feed-in-tariff as minima) for 20 years as follows:

•  300  euro per MWh generated by PV up to 30 kWp power installed.
   250  euro per MWh generated by PV as high as 30 kWp power installed.

Typical sun irradiation on Bulgarian territory varies  from 1 300 up to 1 500 kWh/m² per year.

Spatially for solar parks, we are developed number of  advanced solution to increase energy yield. E.g. - solar reflector system for conventional PV-array that doubling the energy yield of solar parks. This system allows to reduce significantly pay-back period of the solar park investment and to increase the internal rate of return.

Simple pay-back period of the PV investment in Bulgaria is  5-6 years.

Internal rate or return (IRR) is about 17%

The cost of PV solar power generated is less than 0.1 Euro per kWh

Different techniques such as retrofitting of reflectors and concentrators are adopted to increase the amount of radiation flux falling on the module and the output of the module thereby increases. WE are focusing on the practical implementation of flat reflecting materials such as flat mirrors, shinny aluminum and white tiles on the performance of a PV module. The performance was compared with an identical module without such a reflector. The reflector fitted module output based on maximum power point showed a significant increase, and there was also an increase in temperature of the module  See more at: http://tonchev.org/PVparks.html

The new invented Wind-PV synergy energy system exploits a passive ground based PV-modules supporting structure as an wind accelerator directed accelerated wind to wind turbine JET blades. This invention is applicable as an upgrade of the turbines operating in Wind Farms, as well. The hybrid systems, generally, is better energy source from energy-system point of view. Another invention related to low cost energy storage system is applicable to all renewable power plants.
